Visiting Papa and Mimi's house

This morning, while reading Teddy Bears' Picnic:
Elsa points to the bowl of candy on the food page.
Elsa: "Essa like keetty."
Mommy: "Elsa likes candy?"
Elsa: "Yeah."

Babysitting Lincoln

Daddy and I babysat Lincoln last week. I read him books and he shared his dog pillow. I can read this book by myself!

A Day in Pictures...

Today, Elsa and Daddy:

went on a hike,

climbed a tower,

found a tunnel,

enjoyed the sun,

played in the leaves,

enjoyed some outdoor art,

and took lots of pictures!

Makin' Memories

Elsa sporting her first-ever-totally-warm-'n-cozy Halloween costume. She was the cutest little lion out on Wednesday night.

"You want us to do what?" Elsa and Owen had a great time knocking on doors and saying trick or treat (or in Elsa's case "treat-n-treat"). Unfortunately, we did not land one picture of the two of them smiling.

Grandma and Grandpa came over to babysit early in the week and Elsa got to decorate pumpkin cookies with Grandma! I'm not sure I got the whole story, but it appears that Elsa was the one doing more eating and less decorating! (A special shout out to Mary for the great apron!)

Pumpkin Carving!

Happy Halloween! Elsa's first pumpkin carving adventure was funny - she thought the gooey pumpkin innards were "yucky" and wouldn't go near the pumpkin for most of the effort. Daddy and Mommy had fun, though!
