Looking out for fires

We  hiked up to a fire look-out and were lucky enough to be the first (and only) visitors so we got to stay overnight in the look-out!
We thought the stream crossing was difficult on the way there... but the water rose and when we came back to the crossing the next day we spent about 20 minutes navigating until we found a way to cross over.
We hiked in the snow in our shorts and short sleeves for at least a mile.
This was our reward. Breathtaking on every side!

Homing Pigeons

Went on a bike ride, ended up releasing homing pigeons. After circling above, they headed straight for home. Not such an abnormal day in our town.

Oregon Coast

We took a beautiful hike at Cape Lookout. Elsa and Evan were champs - no complaining until the last half mile or so of the 5 mile hike. Nathan even walked over 2 miles (complaining every step, but he did it!)

 This game is called landslide.

No words can describe the splendor of the Oregon beaches. We give all glory to God for His handiwork!

Mount St. Helens

The blast threw logging equipment and partially buried it in ash.
Coldwater Lake didn't exist before the eruption. Amazing how a mountain blowing it's top can change the land.
Great views of the crater!
