Family Vacation 2011

What a fun filled week with the family in the Bend, OR area!

We took some bike rides,

sometimes off road!,

 hiked around at Tumalo Falls, then the adults took turns going to the bottom to run behind the falls (that's Holly and Grandma),

 watched Uncle Adam do some dangerous stunts at Smith Rock (just kidding, that's an unknown daredevil up there),

 spent lots of quality time at the pool (the 7th visit to the pool on Sunday morning caused us to get a late start and spend 12 hours on the road in traffic on the way home!)

 oops!

 and celebrated two birthdays and an anniversary (our 11th)!

July 4

 8:30am - One of our favorite B'ham parks.

 3:30pm - Someone hung a new swing in our neighborhood... Yeah!

9:30pm - Sparklers/block party!

Just another week

Well, not just any week. A sunny summer week, to be exact! In random order:

Elsa slept in her tent on our bed; we wouldn't let her sleep outside (more like, we didn't want to sleep ourside with her) because of the fireworks "pops" every once in a while.

 Having a little backyard sprinkler fun in her snazzy new swimsuit with Owen.

 A surprisingly un-freezing (considering the weather of late) swim at Fragrance Lake.  Never can get enough of this viewpoint on the way there...

 A little chilly this day, but Elsa was a trooper on the 7 mile roundtrip to Oyster Dome.

Borrowed this last one from a friend's facebook post. That's a bunch of kids getting a lesson in pyromania on the 4th. It all starts with those little snakes...
