Where we almost lived...

We made a bid on the (overpriced) house next to this wetlands area last spring... two months later it sold for LESS than our bid. Grrr...

Writing - at 4???

She came in to the house to ask what letter says "yuh" and when I got outside this is what Elsa had independently written: (I love you, in case you don't read phonetically.)
Holy cow, this is what happens when parents interact with their kids. Can someone please inform all the parents that park their kids in front of the TV of the capacity of the young mind?

Now it says (from bottom to top, even though Elsa told me you are supposed to "start here" as she pointed to the top left of the hula hoop): I love you and I hope...

All in all: I love you and I hope you "thadms"(that's the bottom line... got a little silly there). And along the side: Elsa and Mommy, with Elsa written bottom to top and Mommy written upside down.

After all this brain work, there was a MAJOR meltdown at dinner and another at bedtime. It must be hard work to be so brilliant. :)

Elsa's helpfulness

So, we (Elsa & Dad) were leaving for preschool today and I said:

"Hey Elsa, when you get home this afternoon a guy is going to be installing our new cabinets," to which she responded, "His name is Kevin Meyer."

As we arrived at preschool, we passed two women walking out. I said, "Hey Elsa, isn't that Ava's mom?"

"Dad, her name is Lisa."

"Oh."
