To celebrate, let's revisit Cancun. Unfortunately, our hard drive bit the dust and we lost the first two days of our trip. : ( I guess we'll have to go back someday! In totally random order:
At Isla Mujeres, waiting an hour for the bus to make it's rounds so we could reclaim our backpack, forgotten in the back seat.

Also at Isla Mujeres...

...and more Isla. We really liked this beach - totally secluded (except the nice girl that took this picture). We decided next time we are in the area, this might be our campsite.

Sunset, at a hotel that didn't belong to us.

Right after sunset Elsa convinced Mom and Dad that a little wading in the pool, fully clothed, couldn't hurt.

Mom and Elsa rallied pretty well after Elsa tossed her cookies all over both of us just 15 minutes into the
very long (and stinky) bus ride to Chichen Itza. This photo was taken at one of the (many) stops along the way. Note to self: never take another guided tour in Mexico. The city buses are much more efficient!

Elsa slept through much of the ruins at Chichen Itza, which Mom and Dad thought was great because they were listening to an audio tour anyway.

You don't get to walk on the ruins in many places anymore, but this area was open for wandering.

Elsa was not supposed to go under the rope to stand by this snake. Can you believe her rule abiding father snapped this picture anyway???

Happy Cinco de Mayo, everyone!
