I have been amazed watching Elsa grow up. She is inquisitive; being created and dropped into a strange new world likely has this effect on many. What is very special about Elsa is her love of life. She is so incredibly joyful, it amazes me. We were trying to take a nap the other day and as we rested, she was intrigued by her own breath. She would breathe in sharply and let out a breath and then do it again, it put a huge smile on her face. It gave her joy. This is something that should give me joy. To have breath is a great gift of God, and it is no small thing. Neither Elsa nor her parents could control whether she (or for that matter, we) would be given this gift. Elsa's attitude and outlook on life is her own, and it amazes me. I believe that she understands this scripture better than I without ever having read it."The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. ...and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. 'For in him we live and move and have our being.' -Paul, speaking in Athens | Acts 17:24-28
