Sunny, Silly Days

I Love being outside!
Helping Daddy plant a peach tree for Mommy's upcoming birthday. Do you think we'll get any peaches?

Our silly daughter has a sense of humor, and common sense as well. Usually not at the same time. Here are a couple of examples:

1. Tonight Elsa found my mini-vegetable-greenhouse on the floor near the window. She was reaching inside when I caught her and said "No, no, Elsa. Don't touch." She began to blow on the plants. Strange behavior, you think? Not so much. This example demonstrates her common sense. When things are hot, Mommy says "No, no. Don't touch." When food is hot, Mommy blows on it before giving it to me. Therefore, if Mommy says "No, no. Don't touch," then I should blow on the object because, obviously, it must be hot. (Elsa is extremely smart, don't you think?)

2. This afternoon Elsa fell (softly, thank goodness) into the wall near the kitchen. I said "Elsa, silly, don't bonk your head on the wall!" So she proceded to bonk her head on the wall, ever so softly, laughing all the while. Later she returned to the same spot near the kitchen to bonk her head lightly on the wall. Twice. What an interesting sense of humor.

3. Elsa has taken to her pink rubber ball, given to her by Grandma on her birthday, with a new-found love. She likes to "fake us out" by pretending she's going to hand the ball to us, then throwing it off to the side.
